Valere Berlage

Valere Berlage is a collector specializing in secondary Cu, Zn, Co and Pb minerals. Berlage seeks well-crystallized classics. His favorite pieces are those that combine crystals, aesthetics, history and scientific interests.

Valere started to collect over 40 years ago, at the age of four, when he obtained his first Congolese (then Zaire) pieces. Valere Berlage still considers himself a “young collector,” as he has only recently begun to collect on a serious level.

Berlage has visited many museums, private collections, and exhibits in many local and international events in Europe and America. His 10+ years of university scientific studies, as well as his connections with experienced collectors and curators has allowed him to expand his knowledge, step by step.

Currently, Berlage is working to build a high level museum in the Democratic Republic of Congo, a country that he loves!
